CINQUE TERRE, ITALY: A PHOTO DIARY

Cinque Terre quickly became my favorite location in Italy, and one of my top destinations in Europe. I will never forget the moment I laid eyes on the cliffs of  Riomaggorie for the first time. Or the time I tasted the freshest pesto in Manorola. Or when I dipped under the crystal clear waters in Monterosso.

Cinque Terre holds a very special place in my heart. After only spending four days exploring the small Italian paradise, I knew I must return. Plans are {as always} in the works to return to Europe and revisit some of my favorite destinations. While I wait, however, I only have my photos to look back on.

These photo diaries mean more to me than a simple display of my amateur photography skills. They bring me back to moments I’ve shared {alone and with others}, and remind me of everything I’ve set out to accomplish – and now achieved.

I especially get so much enjoyment out of re-editing my photos from Europe now that I am a proud owner of Lightroom. I still wonder what I did before editing my photos this way – I mean, not really. The answer is I over-saturated every single image and took twenty years to do so {the days before presets}.

Regardless, I am happy to be in my very own editing heaven these days – and here is my photo diary of Cinque Terre to prove it. Enjoy!

If this photo diary has inspired you to book a flight to Italy {ha, suuuure}, you can find my entire 2-week itinerary through Italy broken down, here. More specifically, find out where you should stay in Cinque Terre, here.

In case you missed it, my weekly vlog can be found here. Next on the blog, we head to New York City {virtually, to clarify – this girl is staying in Asia physically}.
