Recollections En Route: Hungover in Hong Kong

For our last trip, but first international adventure together, Gena and I booked tickets to Hong Kong over Lunar New Year. We figured, what better way to ring in a new year, and close another chapter in our lives simultaneously? Well, I must say Hong Kong lived up to every expectation I had ever imagined. But it might not be for the reasons you’d assume…

How My Passion for Travel Ended My Relationship

Ahhhh, it’s the day of love! And therefore a perfect excuse to reminisce about a “not-quite-love” story. Admittedly, the title of this blog post is a bit dramatic, but I needed to get your attention. I haven’t been very transparent about my personal love affairs on the blog over the last couple years. That being said, I did want to share this one. For shits and gigs. An Apology Letter to South Korea

When I am about to leave a place I consider ‘home’, even if only for a short while, I usually write a letter and address it to the city. I’ve also included a couple bonus destinations, located on the mainland, that deserve attention and are easy to access.

Video: New Year’s Eve 2018 in Seoul

To ring in 2019, I celebrated at the Floating Palace New Year’s Countdown Party with GSM in Seoul. I squeezed loved ones, toasted a sky set ablaze with fireworks, and danced the night away. It was the perfect way to enter the new year, and one of the best NYE celebrations I’ve ever experienced. 2019 is already shaping up to be a year of promise, and I look forward to sharing my adventures with you. On that note, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thanks, as always, for following me en route.

10 Things I Won’t Miss About Living in South Korea

As with any post considered to be “negative”, I must add a disclaimer. There are so many things I enjoyed about living in South Korea – in fact you can read about them here. Moving to Korea earlier last year was one of the best decisions of my life. That being said, I would be lying if I said it was all burritos {or in this case kimchi} and rainbows.  Continue Reading
