PLATEAU MONT ROYAL: THE MOST ‘INSTAGRAMABLE’ NEIGHBORHOOD IN MONTREAL

I know I’m not alone when I admit that I rely on Instagram to help me plan the majority of my travels. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a good picture. Now that ‘geo-tagging’ is a thing, the perfect ‘gram’ locations become much more accessible to us.

And so I present to you: Plateau Mont Royal

This neighborhood quickly stole my heart in Montreal. And it’s not hard to see why once you begin scrolling. I honestly felt as though I lightweight stepped into a fairytale. And I mean, if your prince charming has a man bun and facial hair you certainly may be able to live out your own fairytale in this charming neighborhood.

Every second story home has a spiral staircase, each house is painted a vibrant color, and lush, green ivy is actively climbing each terrace. I was way too snap happy. I had to continue checking the battery of my camera to make sure it wasn’t going to die from over-use.

Plateau Mont Royal is a very large neighborhood, but I can highly recommend walking down {or up} Av. Laval and Rue Drolet. Saint-Louis park is a great starting point to begin your journey.

And now for a little inspiration:

You really can’t go wrong when it comes to choosing a street in Plateau Mont Royal to begin exploring. This area of the world was unique and unlike anything I have ever come across before.

Have you ever had the pleasure of wondering through Plateau Mont Royal? If so, which street was your favorite?
