THIS POST HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CHINA TOWN

…but it does have pictures.

I sat down this morning with every intention of writing a blog post. I had some photos from exploring China Town, it’s a Friday, I have big weekend plans, and my cup of tea is sitting here waiting to be enjoyed. And yet, all I could think about was how fed up I’ve been this week.

I’ve been away from home for almost 6 months now. Fortunately, I have been gifted with many, many wonderful times here in London. Wonderful friends, wonderful weather, and wonderful memories.

Even though I am living my dream being here in London, I am still living a very real life. And we all know real life includes peaks and valleys. Ups and downs. And sometimes just really shitty weeks.

Nothing particularly negative occurred this week. Quite the contrary to be honest.

We have had good weather, the week has flown by, I received a package from my parents back home, I continued planning Europe, began packing, was invited to Ibiza, and welcomed another friend to London over drinks one clear night in Shoreditch.

And yet, I’ve had my own personal rain cloud looming over my head. Be it leaving London in two weeks, lack of sleep, the pressures of what is coming next, not being able to speak to my boyfriend for much too long, hormones, a grumpy three year old, currently watching the 11th season of Grey’s Anatomy and knowing it’s all coming to an end, etc.

I’m just fed up.

So, I am beyond ready for the weekend. To push that rain cloud away, take some deep breaths, and get that positive perspective again. Sometimes you need an outlet. And writing is usually mine. So here I am, complaining about my not-really-worth-complaining-about week.

C’est la vie.

On the itinerary this weekend includes the National History Museum, attending ‘Curious Incident of a Dog’ show, Sunday Funday at Brighton Beach, and hopefully wine. My 30 day list is coming to an end in two short weeks!

Two weeks people. So much to do…

I’ve checked off a few excursions already which will be up on the blog next week.

I hope everyone else is having an amazing week! The negative things in my life are not even slightly negative in comparison to the horrors others are experiencing all around the world. Especially those in Nice, France at the moment. My thoughts go out to all of the victims of such a disturbing event.

Traveling can be the most incredible and awakening experience. But it doesn’t always have to be as perfect as you portray it on Instagram. We all have bad weeks, bad days, and bad moments. It makes us human.

Going to finish this cuppa, take my feelings out at the gym, and get it together.
