5 Things I Regret After Teaching English in South Korea

I think it’s extremely cliche for people to claim they live life with zero regrets. I also think it’s completely inaccurate. Sure, in hindsight, we can appreciate some of the negative things that happen to us in life. But it’s completely normal to have regrets in life too.

7 Islands in Croatia to Visit in 2019

After spending three weeks traveling through Croatia, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on some of the best places to visit. I had the luxury of visiting many different locations in Croatia, including multiple islands. Whether you are based in Split or Dubrovnik, it’s very easy to visit a number of these islands along the Dalmatian coast. I’ve also included a couple bonus destinations, located on the mainland, that deserve attention and are easy to access.

Video: New Year’s Eve 2018 in Seoul

To ring in 2019, I celebrated at the Floating Palace New Year’s Countdown Party with GSM in Seoul. I squeezed loved ones, toasted a sky set ablaze with fireworks, and danced the night away. Recollections En Route: Welcoming 2019 in Seoul

I previously drafted two different “New Year” posts, but neither of them really captured the essence of the past year. I finally came to the conclusion that no amount of words typed in a blog post will be able to explain what the past year has meant to me. But alas, I feel the need to say something as we head into 2019.

Video: Christmas in South Korea + the Last Week of School

This week I celebrated Christmas in South Korea. While it wasn’t filled with the normal traditions I experience at home, it was meaningful nonetheless. I can also say I survived my first year teaching English in South Korea! I am so proud of my little kiddies and taken aback by how much I’ve grown to care for them. With only a month left in South Korea, I plan to make the most of every moment. Coming up next, I’ll be ringing in the New Year in Seoul with some of my favorite humans.
